Easy Organic Pork Hot Dog Recipe
|
Organic Classic Hotdogs with Oven Fries
Serves 4
- Vegetable oil spray
- 3 baking potatoes, cut into 1-inch thick sticks
- 4 classic hotdogs
- 4 hotdog buns, warmed
- Ketchup, mustard and relish
- Course sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to season
Preheat oven to 450° F. Coat a sheet pan with vegetable oil spray. Spread the potato sticks on the pan and spray them, too. Bake 25-30 minutes, turning them several times with a spatula, until nicely browned.
While the potatoes are baking, put 1 inch of water in a medium saucepan and cover. Bring the water to a boil about 5 minutes before the potatoes are done. Add the hotdogs, cover and turn off the stove. Let the hotdogs sit in the water until they are hot, about 3 minutes.
Serve potatoes hot out of the oven, alongside the hotdogs in warmed buns. Pass condiments separately.
